Cato Advisory Charity Classic Golf Day

The region’s agrifinance community was brought together in September for the inaugural Cato Advisory Charity Classic Golf Day in support of Boys to the Bush, a charity devoted to empowering young men in rural and regional Australia.

The event featured 29 players from eight teams representing leading agri lenders Bendigo Bank, Judo Bank, NAB, Commonwealth Bank, and ANZ Bank, Cato Advisory and Boys to the Bush, with ANZ Bank emerging as the day’s champions. The tournament was played at Young Golf Club.

Tim Findlay, Managing Director of Cato Advisory, expressed the firm’s commitment to giving back to the community that has supported them over the years. “Boys to the Bush represents the resilience and sense of community we believe in,” said Mr. Findlay.

The charity offers mentorship programs that help young men develop resilience, life skills, and positive relationships, addressing key issues like social isolation and the need for strong role models in regional areas.

The Cato Advisory Charity Classic aims to become an annual event, fostering collaboration within the rural business community while supporting essential youth programs. The day included 18 holes of friendly competition, a networking lunch, and a presentation from Boys to the Bush representatives, enhancing awareness and support for the charity’s impactful work.
