The wet and dreary weather has prompted us to pick up a few books. Here’s what we’re liking:
The Greater Good
by Tim Ayliffe
This is the first thriller novel from former ABC news producer, Tim Ayliffe and I must say it’s an excellent read. Plenty of familiar locations and characters, its a uniquely Australian thriller.
There are four more in the John Bailey series, but this is the first one.
The Dichotomy of Leadership
by Jocko Willink & Leif Babin
This is essentially the sequel to the pair’s bestselling book ‘Extreme Ownership’, and explores the balance leaders must strike between opposing qualities, such as being aggressive yet cautious, leading while following, and being disciplined but not rigid. The book provides insights and strategies for navigating these dualities to achieve effective leadership.
